Thornton State School

My name is Erika Jones and I am the new Acting Principal at Thornton State School. In my eleven years of teaching, I have never worked in any school like Thornton SS. Not only does it have gorgeous mountain views that encapsulate the school grounds, but the staff are all warm and caring and have a genuine commitment to teaching and learning. I have found the community to be very welcoming and the students truly make each day at Thornton SS a pleasure. Thank you for your welcome and I look forward to spending time with you.

Prep enrolments for 2012

It is that time of year where we are asking families to think about their little ones at home who are going to join 'big school' next year as a Prep student.

If you have a child at home who is turning five before the end of June 2012 then they are eligible to commence the Preparatory year of education.

Prep Enrolment packages will be available for collection from the school office from the 30th August. Please drop by and ask for one.
