Our school is located next to a creek that runs between two mountain ranges. It is a picturesque drive up our valley, which takes approximately 20 minutes from Laidley.
We have two separate buildings splitting the composite classes for Prep to Year 2 and Years 3 to 6.
The school curriculum is supported by weekly visits from the teachers of The Arts, Physical Education and Japanese (Year 5 and 6 students).
Delivery of the Australian Curriculum across the whole school is one key priority of Thornton State School. We are also focused on developing high preforming staff to ensure students are receiving a high quality state school education.
